St Kilda is home to a lot of things, bars, clubs, restaurants, the list goes on. With so much to explore it’s hard to tell the good from the bad but even worse you can often miss the best parts hidden amongst the chaos.

Saint Evie is one such place, part of the Beverley Crest Hotel, named after its namesake, Evie. She was a local of St Kilda back in the 70’s, that would come to the Beverley Crest Hotel each night to collect food to give those in need in area. This went-on for a long time until one day she left without so much as a goodbye.

This inspirational and heart-warming urban legend gives rise and pays homage to, ‘Saint Evie’. In her spirit the menu at Saint Evie is designed to be shared with those around you from the Karaage Chicken and Seared Tuna to the Duck Breast and Rib Eye, each is inspired by modern Australian flavours with touches of Asian influence. Each dish does not disappoint especially when shared with others.

But if you don’t fancy a meal, the food is not to be outdone by the extensive cocktail menu a particular favourite was The Saint and Evie’s Mule, both shine in their own way. Teamed with a warm and friendly environment that is perfect for dinner, drinks or just a quite catch up with various nooks to lose yourself in. Saint Evie is the perfect place to wander into when you find yourself in St Kilda next.
