Growing up with American corn dogs I wasn’t sure how I felt about changing an old favorite but with chunky town’s mantra to create happy memories one hot dog at a time, and memories of my own cooking hot dogs around the camp fire it was worth a try.
Let’s just say expectations were high going in. And if someone were to ask me today what Chunky Town is, the best way to describe it, is Asian fusion on the classic American corn dog… sounds interesting
So, let’s break it down, these are good ol’ corn dog with a variety of Asian inspired coatings from crispy noodles, which added great texture, to chunky potato with American sauces. Which we loved! And of course, cheese and lots of it, cause let’s face it, cheese really does make everything better. The ultimate fusion was a hot dog and cheese wrapped in squid ink coating.
Pair it with a Chunky Tea (Bubble Tea) for the ultimate satisfaction, you really can’t go wrong with any of these.
Asked if we wanted sugar with our dogs, we differed to their good judgement…
We found it a little sweet for our tastes and thought it would be better more as a savoury treat but that’s our thoughts, but you might like your snacks sweet – your call.
If you’re looking for something different and want a quick snack, a trip to Chunky Town might just be what you need!
