For those of you with brunch on the mind you are spoilt for choice these days, but most people think you have venture into the big city to find yourself a delicious brunch spot. That is certainly not the case! On a recent adventure we were introduced to Zooi Café, tucked away amongst the suburban backdrop of Point Cook.

Catching up with an old friend, he told me simply, come out to Point Cook, there is have a place you have to try!

And always up for a spot of brunch I headed across town on a beautiful Saturday morning.

Walking in you find yourself welcomed with smiles and the smell of coffee in the air, taking a seat on the big communal table we began to look over what they had to offer to satisfy the morning hunger. The menu is simple and refined – Brunch staples with the a little Zooi flare on top.

We kept it simple on this adventure and went classic, French Toast, Big Breakfast and coffee!

Starting with coffee, it is clear they know what they are putting in your cup. Chatting with them, it became clear they love their coffee and have spent a bit of time choosing the right bean to serve their customers. So, whether you’re just grabbing a coffee to go or sitting down – you can’t go wrong with a coffee here!

Moving onto the main event, brunch was served…

French Toast and a Big Breakfast, these were by no means small portions. Elegantly plated and full of colour Zooi are offering classic food done well. The French Toast was warm, crunchy and soft all at the same time paired with sorbet, fresh fruit and of course maple syrup. This is everything you would want from French Toast. The Big Breakfast also did not disappoint with bacon, eggs, toast, tomato, mushrooms and the infamous golden hash brown this will leave you satisfied. And if you’re nursing a hanger this will definitely do the trick.
