Set amongst the picturesque backdrop of Jimbaran and just a stone throws away from the infamous Jimbaran Beach you will find yourself at Mövenpick Resort & Spa, home to Anarasa Restaurant and the indulgently sinful Mövenpick Café.
Overlooking the tranquil gardens, we found ourselves sitting on the deck of Anarasa surrounded by an assortment of street stalls and stations each set up with a variety of exquisite Indonesian delicacies ready to devour. Welcome to the Indonesian Street Food Buffet, offered every Wednesday night from the team at Mövenpick, from noodles, soups, wraps and of course satays.
With interactive dining stations and a mix of Indonesian favourites and local bites, all of which will having you wanting to go back for more.
Not looking to eat everything you possibly can, then take a moment to look over the carefully curated menu by Chef Jeremy Tourret featuring both local and international flavours. Having previously eaten all the street food we could want the previous night we decided to sample a little of the western offerings;
Red Tuna Tartar Red tuna sashimi grade, smashed avocado, mango, toasted sesame, spring onions & soy sauce
Just passing through with family, friend or that special someone, on the way to Jimbaran Beach, Movenpick Café nestled into the heart of Samasta Village is the perfect stop over you need to escape the heat and give into your sweet temptations.
With a delectable menu of pastries, cakes, Swiss-style artisanal ice creams and sundaes big or small you will not be disappointed.
Stopping in the with kids in tow we had a field day of sweet treats, for the big kids, we started off with a couple of sundaes;
Bali Tropical Mango sorbet, passion fruit sorbet, coconut ice cream, mango salsa, passion fruit fresh, crumble, whipping cream.
Unfortunately, we had to share with the kids, so we had to get a few more treats to share around, next up a selection of petit gâteau, Raspberry Sour Soup, Crunchy Caramel Chocolate and Tropical Pineapple teamed with a personal favourite, macaroons, one of every flavour they had, Hazelnut Green Tea, Mango Passion, Banana Caramel and Dark Chocolate.
Mövenpick Café was the perfect midday stop for us but if you find yourself looking to indulge in a tasty array of local Indonesian street fair or an elevated menu that features an assortment of local and international flavours Anarasa Restaurant is the perfect place to take in the surrounds of Jimbaran set to the backdrop off the beautiful Mövenpick Resort gardens whether with family or just looking for a romantic evening Anarasa will not disappoint.
