With the sun shining and café culture back in full swing, it was no surprise we found ourselves in the heart of Richmond on the doorstep of Riché. Riché offers a modern interior with a host of cosy spots to settle into for a cruisy breakfast or long lunch. Not to mention a beautifully placed communal table bathed in light from the big bright windows, perfect for those group catch ups!

Opting to sit up front to catch some of that Melbourne sun, we poured over the extensive list of coffees on offer. Settling on our coffee and morning smoothie we browsed the rest of the menu with a mix of options from corn fritters, pan-fried barramundi, chili scrambled eggs to red curry lamb.

After much deliberation we went with a mix of sweet, savoury, breakfast and little lunch… some simply say, brunch!

Leave No Bao Behind
Grilled spiced chicken, pineapple, pickled carrot and daikon, coriander, cucumber, fried shallots, kewpie mayo, and chilli jam serve with Granny Smith apple salad

Wake Up In Paris
Brioche French toast, seasonal fruits, meringue, orange chips, coconut gelato, crumble & chocolate ganache

Mr Potato Head
Slow cooked pulled pork, spinach, poached eggs, sriracha hollandaise on potato hash

Riché Burger
Beef brisket patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, homemade mustard sauce served with thick cut chips

Maple Bacon
Because who doesn’t love a little extra bacon!

To say these hit the spot would be an understatement, Riché have taken the everyday café grub and put their unique take and flavour on it.

The standout for us was Mr Potato Head and Wake Up In Paris, each of these took our taste buds on a little adventure which we loved. The coconut gelato was a great paring with the French toast, meringue and fruit, a little slice of Paris to wake up to. Whereas the apple crisps, pulled pork and potato hash provide a great take on the classic eggs’ benny for the Mr Potato Head.

If you find yourself walking the Bridge Road strip and fancy a little nibble, Riché should definitely make the list. From the coffee and smoothies to the delectable menu Riché is a crowd pleaser all around.
